I wanted to post a shout out to Rainbow's End Jig shop in Vancouver... Martin took the time to help me understand how to fish with salmon eggs and helped me with some areas to fish on the Kalama and after 2 years of trying everything in my tackle box to catch fish on every river from Bonneville to Chehalis I finally got a buck chinook!! Only 27 inches and I am not sure how much it weighed but I don't care because it was my very first salmon and it was a rush!!! Thank You again Martin, earned a customer for life!!

Its worth every penny to skip the big box stores and shop at the local tackle shop. You find some really helpful guys there. We tried to fish the Kalama last year and got lost in the tangle of rules in the regs on what section was open and what was not, and then what section was fly only etc..My friend did finally catch a small Chinook down at a RV camp area where we stopped to fish. Good times anyhow.
