went to newman for the tiger muskie and came home with two large mouth bass one 3lbs and the other 5lb. using a top water frog for the first one and a soft bait which looked like a bluegill for the 5lb. all in all it was an ok day caught both at the south end lilys

See Bazzdude, there is bass in Newman! :) It'll be soon... Trying to get some honey do's out of the way, and he even used a topwater! :)

Ya ya, 5lbs is nice, but the one in the picture looks under around 2 to me, not 3, but still anyhow, that is more fish then i have cought in a while. well i guess that is becasue i have not be out in a while either. Nice catch catch.

Nice Fish Bro! I don't want to be a buzz kill & I think it's okay to keep an occasional Bass for dinner (unlike some Super Die Hard C&R guys) but remember you're only allowed to retain LM Bass under 12" with one LM Bass over 17" per 5 fish daily bag limit. Most 5 pound LM Bass are over 17" & a 3+pounder's could be too, but in any event all LM Bass in the slot (between 12" & 17") must be released. I don't think Newman Lake has any special regulations on LM Bass but i could be wrong, so check em' out & make sure before your next outing. I don't want any fellow sportsman getting fined by WDFW because of a simple misunderstanding. **Keep Fishin' - WK -
