Fished Lake Shannon above Concrete today out of a sled. Went all the way up to the mouth of Thunder creek. We were expecting more bouys than one to tie up to but lucky we were the first boat there. Starting chumming to draw in the Sokeye and started getting bites right away, but the fish were small. We were using single eggs about 20 feet down. The two other guys that I was with just for fun tied on a herring jig leader and to be legal they just shortened the six hook leader to three. They started catching them left and right, just adding one single egg to each of the three hooks and no more than 10-15 feet down was the ticket. I quickly switched to what they were using, I'm not that hard headed! Still it took about 4-5 hours to limit. 15 fish all about 12-14" Good for this time of year. These sockeye seem to travel in big waves, when they hit you better have bait ready because you'll be stripped of bait with these quick mouth torpedos.
