Banks Lake B.A.S.S Qualifier
June 11th & 12th

I fished this tournament as a non-boater as I didn't even know I was going to fish it till last week.

We had 18 boats turn out as we launched Saturday Morning.

Water temp around most of the lake was 58-60 Degrees with areas in the punchbowl and shallow areas up to 66F.

Lots of smallmouth are on beds with some still in pre-spawn, and a lot in Post Spawn.
Almost all of my fish were sight fish or or pre-spawn fish that were on the inside weedlines.
The whole lake is on fire, even Largemouth, you can catch 20 2lbers a day.

I was using a Yamamoto Shad Shape worm on a dropshot rig, with a Gamakatsu #4 hook and Quickdrops 1/4 oz. Dropshot Weight and 4 lb. Sufix Flourocarbon. Rigged on a Lamiglas Drop Shot Special 2 Rod. Along with fan casting a Terminator spinnerbait in Chartruese.

I ended up in 3rd place for non boaters with 10.96 lbs o Saturday, and somewhere around 6th place on Sunday with 10.80 lbs.Tournament was won each day by Chris Lambert with 14 lbs.

Overall we probably caught about 50-70 smallmouth each day all around 12 inches, if you wanna go out and catch fish, right now is the time to do it. My hands are worn out from catching so many, major bass thumb. Fishing is ON FIRE.

I'm now officially living at Potholes Reservoir now, spot #48, come by and say hi!

Book a trip with me for this summer at Potholes, Moses, or Banks and recieve free Rapala gear!
