I fished Baker Friday and Saturday. I launched by 3 am both mornings, and headed in around 10:30 am. My main rig was a pink smiley blade, two beads, pink mini-hoochie (trimmed up/legs thinned), single bead, and a single red 2/0 hook. This was fished a foot behind either a chrome, or 0/0 chrome/bronze flasher. I had shrimp on about half the time, and shrimp smelly jelly on the non-reflective parts of the rig. I split my time between Noisey and Shannon Creek. Friday was pretty dead. I think I saw about 10 fish hooked total- most around Shannon. Saturday was better, but still really tough. I hooked one near the shore just north of Shannon Creek around 9. It broke my leader during a jump. The fish bit when I did not have shrimp on. The catch numbers were up Saturday. It appeared a lot of boats got at least one shot at a sockeye, some got two. However, it was still really tough. I'm curious to see if the bite continued to rebound Sunday! I would of stayed another night, but holy smokes, I need to buy a sleeping cot for camping! Ug, my back is still yelling at me.
