My buddy and I arrived at the lake around 8 a.m. Saturday morning. We were casting out about 25 to 30 ft. using green power bait and a bobber. By 10:30 a.m. we had both limited out on Rainbows. We were pretty surprised when we got to the lake as there were probably only about a dozen people fishing. In years past at Ice House you would be fishing pretty much shoulder to shoulder around the entire lake. But it was kind of nice with only a few people fishing as you didn't have to worry about getting tangled up in someone else's line.

Fished Icehouse this morning for a little bit before going to the office. Caught one eight inch rainbow right off the bat, and had a couple of good nibbles after, but had to go to work.

Fishin was great! Just a few anglers around and we all caught our limits within 2 hours. Most were small, but 2 good size about 13". We used only Power-bait, anglers down from us were using frozen baby shrimp. Noisy place to fish due to the traffic, but we always see lots of osprey, ducks and herons.

I had a few hours to kill and decided to go look for some easy fishing. I found it at Icehouse. It was really windy but nice and sunny. I hooked into a total of 8 rainbows. 5 of those went between 14 and 16 inches and the other three were all 12 inch skinny trout. They all fought real well for such cold water. I used a sink tip line with a 10 leader and a variety of flies. Green wooly buggers and zonkers accounted for all of the hook ups. I fished for about 2 hours and watched a guy on the bank fish with power bait catch 1 or 2.
