Fished 4 hours on Angle, tried everything I had in the box, wedding ring, gulp worms, powerbait of brown, orange, chartreuse white, sherbert. Power Eggs (got sniffed, and chased to the surface) but no bite, MEPS lure, Firecorn, etc etc etc
Nothing was working. Tried the rainbow of colors, bait, no bait, even tried bobber fishing.
Nothing for Nothing was biting today. Talked to two other dock fishers on the way out, they had nothing, talked to a local on the way in he'd gotten nothing. Just nothing biting.
I had figured i'd have had some luck with either the hatch brown eggs or power bait, nope

With the rain and strong cold wind made it tough to troll for kok's, had only 1 bite (Drive by) on the dodger and wedding ring tiped with power maggots. Here's a picture of the work their doing in the park and a picture of the WDFW trout planting truck pull down the ramp at noon time.

Got home in time to at least go down to scout out the launch at Angle lake and see if the WDFW had planted yet and was surprised to see that the park was completely fenced off and closed until June 26th!!
It has a big sign that says park closed but boat launch open but there is no place to park your vehicle as the cyclone fence has it all blocked off so not sure where you could park your truck and trailer. Hopefully they will take down the fence at least and leave open the parking places for that~ but at this point does not look promising not even for car top boats.
Just an FYI for anyone who has to make a longer drive then I do if you wanted to try this lake out~ I will take a picture of it next week if it is still blocked off so you all can see what you will be dealing with if you plan on going here. Even the fishing dock is blocked off which makes sense since there is no parking anyway.

Pretty good day yesterday on Angle. Friend and I went 3 for 3 on kokes and 1 for 1 for rainbows. My bud also caught a LM bass trolling for kokes, that was another first! It was about 10" and gave him a good fight on the kokanee rod. Lip hooked and went back unharmed. The kokanee and rainbow hit wedding rings tipped with corn and pink maggot. I landed my personal best kokanee today as well and it's the reason for the 4 rating since the fishing was a bit slow. Perch fishing was a bit slower yesteday then normal for keeper perch. Caught a ton of dinks wherever we went but did manage 3 keepers with one being pretty good sized. Tight lines all.

Got to the lake and lines wet around 5. Fishing was slow until the sun started to set, and then the bite was on. Marked fish all along the bottom, within 5 feet from and they were hungry come sunset. Got my limit in about 40 minutes after the bite started. The cutting board in the pic is a little more than 12" wide, just to give some perspective. The biggest is a little shy of 13" and the smallest was around 10". Definitely not a bad day for being so late in the season, but they are starting to get a little hook-nosed. Got me some beautiful shiners with orange meat for smoker fodder. Would have given it a 5 but I sat around with nothing until the bite switch turned on. Good luck and tight lines.

Got to the lake at ~7:40 and waited 25 minutes for the gate to be opened, the sign does say 8am, oh well, I've been to this lake enough to know better, just used the time to get ready. On the water by 8:20 and by buddy hooks a koke while lowering his line on the first drop, didn't even get to put the rod in the holder, pretty sweet! This was his first kokanee and a nice one. He was fishing a red/white wedding ring behind a pink splatter dodger with a pink maggot on the back hook and fire corn on the front. I started out fishing a pink/silver dodger with a pink hoochie baited the same, we were both about 25ft down. I switched to a 50/50 dodger and gold/white wedding ring and while lowering this offering a koke took it before it was even set up, another nice one to the boat. Unfortunately that was the last of the koke we hooked. Trolled around a couple more hrs off and on while still fishing for perch and only had a few more light bites. Thought it was odd that 2 fish came while the set up was being lowered but none while they were actually set up and being trolled. If anyone has insights on what that's about I would like to understand what I was doing wrong while trolling, they were definately there. The perch fishing was pretty good again on Angle. I caught one of the biggest perch I've ever caught, it was close to 12 inches and a fat dude. It's pictured next to the kokes, it was really fun to fight on a 5ft 1-4lb ultra light rod with 4lb test line, I was sure it was a good sized trout until I finally got it to the boat. It peeled out line, good fun. 3 perch were good sized, including the jumbo, the others were typical 7-9". Took 12 home total and threw back 30ish smaller ones. My bud also caught a couple sunfish/pumpkinseed, forgot how pretty these fish were, they were all released unharmed. We went all day without sculpin which was really nice! All and all a great day on the lake, would give it a 5 but those darn kokanee are driving me mad! Love to fish for them but do not have them dialed in (like Toni!).

got there at 7 for some evening fishing got there and was asked at the dock to tow some people in, so we lost a half hour of fishing right off the bat, got our lines towards the bottom and started trolling, we both got one bite and that was it, headed in at dark. Try again another day.

Last 2 hours of daylight on Thursday, caught fish constantly. Targeted Kokanee/ trout, but they were not feeding. Caught numerous Yellow Perch averaging 6-7 inches and fat on the crawler. Decided to use the perch colored, medium diving, jointed and rattling crank bait. Cast to all areas from the dock. Caught primarily rock bass and some pretty good ones, but hauled in a few 1/2 pound Largemouth Bass as well. Returned all back to the lake. No photos. Beautiful evening!

Got there close to seven and started trolling, within about 10min hooked a perch, let the little guy go, and about a minute later my buddy hooked a kok and he got all the way the point but got it snagged on our fish basket and the fish got off, after that not a bite until we stopped to do some bass fishing, started the shorline close to the dock and started getting little bites, my other buddy got a little sunfish, looked kind of big for a sunfish, but either way then the other guy got a little bass after that, then it was time to go as we couldnt see anymore. Fun day though, and no one was on the water.

On the lake around 8:30, trolled east from the ramp and on the very first pass snag on something in 50ft of water trolling at 35ft. This pissed me off, was fishing two rods on downriggers so had to get everything up and try to back out of the snag, ended up losing a home made wedding ring, not the end of the world. Figured it was a bad omen so went and anchored up in 30ft of water near the bend in the lake to try for perch. Put one rod down while baiting my 2nd rod (2 pole endorsement) and couldn't get the 2nd rod baited before I had a bite on the first. Hook the fish and after a good fight reel up a nice fat 12 inch rainbow. Get the first rod back down and go to bait the second and can't before the first starts boucning again, up comes a nice perch. After a few more perch I noticed a take down and hook up acted strange, the fish ran hard and peeled out line. Much to my surprise I land a nice 12" koke fishing a worm off the bottom, that was a first. So landed a nice bow, a nice kok and 16 nice perch fishing a worm off the bottom. Fun fishing with ultra light gear!
