Two teams of two set out early in the morning. I was in boat two trolling crank baits with my boat buddy doing the same. We trolled mostly the south end of the lake after a few runs around the north end. We wound up with four good looking rainbows and one monster perch. The guys in the other boat were trolling wedding rings and spinners and had ree trout on in no time. Good fun had lots of fish spit the hook and went home with two 13 ouncers and two 10 ouncers. The perch weighed in at about 9 ounces!

I really would rate this outing 4 stars for the totally awesome weather we are currently having. Fishing from the dock at the boat launch with 2 other gentlemen, Tried a variety of methods, but settled on nightcrawler. Caught only one fat 'bow for 5 hours effort. I might have stayed longer if not for the blazing sun. I'll be going again soon! Tight Lines!

Wow... what fun with 10-12" bows using black wooley bugger trolled on a light fly rod... bigger fish at the southeast end for sure, but fish everywhere! Kept 3, released a ton... a surprise for this lake!

This lake use to have bass in it. What happened? Did they poison them out? Sure has plenty of trout. You have to try real hard not to hook a trout. The trout are fun to catch but generally they are all the same size and it gets boring hooking one right after another. I would love to be able to pull a nice size bass out from under a dock like in years past.

Another great day on the water at Desire. Took a good buddy out to catch some fish around 1:30pm or so and got off the water by 3:00 pm. We trolled slowly with flatfish and brought 6 rainbows in the boat, with another 3-4 breaking off while trying to reel them in. Biggest fish were a couple of 12", still waiting to land the 14" plus lunkers out here. Coming back tomorrow.

Another great day on the lake...Friday was a bit tough, avoiding a nasty thunderstorm that came through. Saturday however produced more bites than i've had in a while. Only on the lake for an hour or so and caught 2 limits between me and a buddy... Great fishing!!!!!!!

Fishing was good to me today. Though the weather was nasty for this time of the year, I had my limit in a little over an hour. One of which actually snapped my line about 10 feet from the dock. Looked to be at least 16". The size range caught was from 10' to 14+". All of the guys on the dock were getting hits. Barely could get my gear setup before I got a bit. Best day I have had all season.

Got onto the water at 6:15 am, nice overcast conditions but the air temp had to be in the low 40's... glad I brought a beanie and warm jacket. Trolled for a solid 2 hours and snagged a couple decent rainbows (11"-12") within the first hour. Mainly using an F-5 flatfish and letting out plenty of line to try and get deep to find the lunkers. The second hour was rather uneventful with one fish getting hooked but lost on the retrieval and only a couple of nibbles besides that. Both fish returned to get caught again. Got off the water around 8:15 or so and by that time the parking lot was getting pretty full. I saw maybe 4-5 boats on the water and around 6 guys fishing off the dock. Oddly, I only saw maybe 1 or 2 risers... not sure if it was too early or if the conditions made a difference.

Got on the water today by 7:00 am and had a bite on the first cast, knew it was going to be a good morning on Desire. Trolled slow in about 8-12 feet of water for a good couple of hours. Found one area in particular to be making the rods dance every time I passed through. Decided to drop anchor and caught 2 within 20 minutes. In conclusion, I landed 6 fish (kept 5 for the smoker), lost another 4-5 and proabably had easily around 50+ bites. Fish were all stockers around 10"-11" but no complaints from me. Got off the lake around 10:30 or so, the 2 guys dock fishing were having good success too. Will be coming back soon.
