Third time trying & nothing but another rough afternoon at fenwick. 3 of us went and not one bite between us. Tried power bait, real worms, fake worms, power eggs & a wedding ring. No luck. Talked to a few others trying from shore & no luck on their lines either

After getting skunked at Star Lake earlier in my raft, I decided to fish at the beautiful but not plentiful Lake Fenwick. I've fished here from shore maybe 15 times and this is the best I've ever done. I finally found my best spot and launched my line out with 1/2 oz slip weight and 4 feet of leader with rainbow power bait and caught a nice 13" Rainbow immediately. It was a fighter and very good looking, inside and out. I had no luck for the next 2 hours but right as I got my gear packed up, I landed another !3" Rainbow, I was pleasantly surprised.

Fished for a few hours just south of the main dock and caught one nice 13" Rainbow. Tried a worm off the top and bottom, power bait off the bottom and gulp corn off the top but got em with a half worm and rainbow power bait off the bottom. Tough fishing here, gotta be patient. This is the second trout I've caught at Fenwick out of 12 or so times out, fishing from shore.

My girlfriend and I got to the small dock around 5:45 and fished till 8 with no luck. We tried fishing from the bottom with powerbait, top with gulp corn and I threw about 4 different spinners out there. Saw a couple jump but not alot. We basically sat there and enjoyed the wildlife, including this momma duck and her little ones.

Got my 2 pole endorsement specifically to fish for kokes in American lake so I figured since I haven't had luck here, might as well bring 2 poles. Fished one on the top with Gulp corn and one on the bottom with rainbow power bait. Lost several on top but finally caught a nice looking 13" Rainbow off the bottom. I was fishing between trees and bushes between the large dock and the small one, made for challenging casting. Saw some bass in the shallows and lots of trout jumping.

Heard that they stocked the lake so I set up on the small dock across from that light blue box in the middle. Tried several different kastmaster lures with no luck. Tried power bait off the bottom with equal results. Saw some fish jumping around close to 7:30 so I switched to 'Gulp' corn on top with bobber and got one monster strike but the hook didn't set.
I talked to one gentleman that was using a bobber and worm and he had caught one. I saw no action from the other people fishing, must have been a slow day all around.
I think fishing off the larger dock across from the middle of the lake by the island, off the bottom would be successful, also, trolling a fly may be a good bet here. I plan on going back to find the winning method and will post my findings.
Anyone ever have any luck with a fly on a bobber?

I only caught a couple fish, all small, using wedding rings. Its extremely thick with weeds. I also was using a sink line with corn bait. I was there and all i could see was the guys fly fishing catching a fish every 15 minutes or so.
I probably wont return here.

Went to the lake to try my luck. I was not expecting much since fenwick is usually not very kind to me. Today was much different. I absolutely nailed then today. I am strictly a catch and release fisherman and I caught and released about two limits in three hours. All were nice bright decent sized rainbows. A small spinner worked just below the surface was lethal. I was fishing from the bank. I saw one boat on the water and It didn't look like it was having any luck trolling.
