This was a lake near Spencer lake, but not Spencer. Trolled wedding ring and worm with small split shot. Easy limits. One brood trout, one hold over, one triploid. Rest were perfect pan size and very tasty little animals to eat.

Fished for four hours and caught one 14 incher and a half dozen stocker. Slow bite and chilly weather. Great to watch the eagles and ospreys fishing. They caught more than we did. :-)

Lake is at the end of a turn over, fishing is slow. On the water about 3pm and fished tell dark. No one else on the lake today. Maybe it will be better tomorrow. Fished damsel nymphs and some chronies, fish still seem to be deep.

I have been trolling a small Dick Nite spoon that is pinkish red on one side and pearl white on the other side using 5/8th ounce lead at the top speed of my small elec trolling motor. The NW shore line between 10' and 18' seems to be the best. There is no pressure on this lake because I have never seen more than three other boats at one time. Good launch with plenty of parking. I have been off the water by 10am every time averaging about 18 Rainbows to the boat and keeping the largest for my limit. These are firm good eating fish up to about 18"

Launched about noon on a pontoon boat. Fished the bay next to the boat launch- nothing but perch. Wind drifted along the shore north of the point near the boat launch and caught a beautiful 12in rainbow.

Brother and I went out to Spencer in the late afternoon and fished until it got dark. Trolled around with wedding rings and worms and had a lot of fun. The fish were biting like crazy and surprised us both. Nothing to big though, a lot of tiny yellow perch. I got a good pumpkin seed and a pretty nice trout and my brother got this bass it was probably the best one of the day. If anything just spending time out there while the sun is setting was great. The fish were biting at the south end of the lake in front of the launch more than anywhere else but we did get fish all over the lake.

Initially set out on boat at 0600 with one other friend WL member on water. Had no luck with exception of a ton of yellow perch. Most of the time fishing about 4-6 feet off bottom, with some initial boat to shoreline fishing and near dock fishing. Had no luck. Other fishers said they were only catching yellow perch as well. Day was overcast and cold with alot of fog in the morning, end up clearing and becoming sunny about noon. Some powerboats, or ski-boats on the water about noonish as well. Called it a day. Will attempt again, just got skunked on this trip,.

On the water fishing at 1030 went to the cove back on the north west side and saw a couple of bass boats trying it out, talked to the guys no luck yet. Fished for perch in there no luck. Went and parked by the penninsula north end in 25 ft of water looking for perch/trout, no luck, using crawlers suspended. Hit both shallow ends by boat launch with worm and bobber for perch no luck. Water temp was 61 -63 on lake, sunny out. Jet skis showed up at noon. Warm water fish have to be coming up anytime now.

We arrived at the lake at 11:30 and the parking was almost full. There were alot of boat trailers and people fishing from shore. I think everybody had cabin fever and needed to get out and enjoy the sunshine. After we launched and got out into the the open the wind was blowing hard. I tried to anchor out but the wind kept pushing us and I felt the anchor dragging at the bottom. We didn't stay long because of the wind. As we were coming to shore some guy quickly backed in his boat so we could barely squeeze in. The same guy walked over to the bushes near the launch and urinated. He didn't care that there were people fishing from the shore by the launch. I'll be better prepared to fish in the wind next time I go.
