On the water at 4pm. Went to the downed tree on the west side. Worked my way back to the launch. Tried tube baits on the bottom, which was the way to go in the spring, nothin. Trolled back up for trout, no trout. Used a rapala shallow runner and got 5 9-10 inch bass. Had fun but not on fire either. As a note at the launch there were 5 cleaned trout with heads cut off just laying in the water, don't know whats up with that!! Water temp 68.

Decided to head out to the lake and try to catch my first LMB of the season. Me and my gf started fishing the docks on the south end of the lake. On the fifth dock I finally caught a bass on a luck e strike black neon tube. My gf finally caught one on the east end of the lake with a 4" watermelon black flake yamamoto grub. One funny thing did happen when my gf casted to far and her grub went over somebody's bench on their dock. The lure landed in the water and thought she got stuck so he jerked the rod and a small LMB came flying over the bench. The fish wasn't harmed and was released.

What an awesome spring day to go fishing!!! Got to the lake about 0930 and started fishing from the bottom near the keg with no bites. I swithched to fishing for bass and was varies lures from Zoom with no luck. I anchored out towards the middle of the lake across from the canal and started catching fish like crazy. Everybody was down on the south end of the lake so I was the only one on the north end. My first fish was a 15" and the next two were 13" and all 3 fought really hard. I caught a couple more 11" to limit out. Seems like this lake is catching on because there were alot of cars in the parking lot. The water temp was 58.5 degrees so I hope the bass start biting soon. I was using my usual berkley gulp alive floating corn in flo. red and flo. yellow combo.

Hit trails at about 130 pm. Water temp 62 on whole lake. Sunny out. Stopped at the crab bouy and wife sank power bait, son and i worm and bobber. I had my bobber go down and a brood stock 3lb 17.5 rainbow on, he tasted good tonite. Only one other fish today on a blown worm off the bottom in same location. Lots of fish in the lake but the bite is off now for the most part.

Well today was another great day on trails end. Fishing was great but slowed down from the trout insanity of the last 5 days since WDFW stocked the heck out of this lake. Water temp 56, bass are coming soon no beds yet, no wind and most fish were on a red wedding ring tipped with a crawler. Yesterday my neighbor pulled a 24 inch 4 pounder out. Good luck all.

What an AWESOME day to be on the lake!! We arrived at the lake bout 11:30 and there were a couple cars in the parking lot. As the day went on the parking lot was close to full and there were alot of people on the lake. Everybody that was out were catching fish. When we got to shore a couple guys showed us their catch of the day and it was very impressive as the fish were a couple broods that were about 3 pounds each. As for me and my gf we had an outstanding day ourselves. We both limited out and kept a few fish for a change. Most of the time we C&R. She was using Berkley Alive Floating Corn in Flo. Red and Flo. Yellow. I was using a 1/4oz Kastmaster in Brook trout color. The water temp was 55 degrees and we caught most of the fish in 20 feet of water.

Trout-a-geddon.....is what happened today, I think the lake was stocked last week and it was on today. Throwing a castmaster for the most part i hooked into over 50 fish got about 20 to the boat and kept my five bigger ones. They were just rolling everywhere near the beer keg and i trolled the area casting and hooking one and he'd spit it and another one would pick it up and so on. It was fun fish were about 9 inch average big ones 13. Water temp was 51 and sunny. Great day on the water. Good luck all.

Decided to try trails end, since Kitsap Lake has really slowed down. Managed to hook up with a 14 incher, released a very small one. (Barely hooked, released fine) but that was it. Two other folks got skunked. One guy was there catching fish after fish. Asked what he was using, said home-made spinners with day-glo beads. He caught some nice ones. Dude, if you are reading this please respond, would like to talk some more. Happy New Year everyone.

After spending the morning at Phillips we wanted a slower pace lake where it was more relaxing. I wanted to try out my bps xps grubs and the bass were killing them. The yamamoto grubs and bps xps have the best tail action out of the 4 different brands I have. A good day to be on the lake and enjoy some good fishing.

I decided to get up early and hit "old faithful" Trails End. I launched at 0630 and started my usual pattern fishing in a counterclock wise pattern. I started off using a black neon trigger x tube and caught some small bass. I then swithched to using a goby colored rapala xr-6 and had some succes catching some bigger fish with thr biggest being 13". I then fished the next few hours switching between a 4" attraxx double tail worn in green pumpkin candy and a 3.5" crazy eddie colored dry creek tube. I bought these tubes cuz the name was hilariuos and they caught bout 1/2 my bass for the day. Alot of residents out on the water enjoying the 72.5 degree water. Most of the bass are small but alot of fun to catch.
