New to bass fishing, headed to sun lakes and banks lake

Postby drysuperfly52 » Tue Jun 19, 2012 8:25 pm

We don't have a boat unfortunately. But we can hike... I have some basic bass gear I have picked up but using it is just a shot in the dark. What are some good local lakes/shore access spots and what set up should I be running? Bobber and a worm? Jig, the floating dollar sign (rapala), plastic grubs.

Any and all hints would be great thanks

Check this post http://washingtonlakes.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=15295#p159492 from another thread about banks lake. The links shows some maps about where you'd want to go.

Depends on the bite of course, but I'd start with Carolina rigged plastics, if the bite is shy maybe a wacky rigged smaller finesse type worm. Drop-shotting was always a go-to but it's a lot harder from shore unless you can get out on some of the rocky points or a dock.
