my dad used spinners alot, but only do it when you're alone or not too close to people, cast downstream instead of upstream like when you're bottom bouncing, the current will do alot of the work for your spinner while you SLOWLY reel it in, since you're going against the flow your "drift" will last longer blue foxes and bigger rooster tails are great, chart and orange are good, try black and orange too, and pink and red, silver is great fo clear water, gold for cloudy days r slightly murky water, adding scent doesnt hurt either since salmon dont like the taste if metal lol

and dont forget to have a fluoro leader (14-20lb test) with a good ball bearing swivel if you're gonna use a spinning setup

eggs or plugs are always better, but yea, spinners work, i have heard from a few great fishermen, like bill herzog and a great guide buddy, that the only spinner they ever use for chinook is the dark, forest green color vibrax in size 4 or 5

yeah that is the only flavor I have had any luck with is the dark green. What are some good spinners or spoons for saltwater kings from the beach.

i like jigs for saltwater like your standard buzz bombs, or try P-line's laser minnow jigs, theyre sweet lookin and seem to have a cool motion in the water, their kokanater jigs are great as well,

Pink and white Point Wilson Darts seem to be my #1 this year for jigging in the salt. Got a 30+ lb. native off possession bar with one last week, first drop of the day.
