While fishing sockeye with a couple of children on board The fish snapped the leaders mid leader. 10# leader, 3-4 pound fish breaking it. No thank you. I do not like loosing fish. And, I really don't like seeing children loose them due to my poor choices. Flouro has its place I guess. Just not on my pole for now.
10 pounds is a little light for dodger fishing because of the drag with that tiny leader, no stretch and the dodgers holds the fish back, lots of shock pressure when they run, unless you wernt trolling and u were river fishing, then, shouldnt have broke, regardless tho, berkly... not the greatest, like i said, maxima is number 1, i run chamelion mainline, ultragreen leader, and i go seaguar for flouro 100% of the time like BODO said.
