Don't feed the trolls! That being said, fishing is about having fun and getting outside. It's not a competition. Sure there are skills to be learned, but if everyone spent all their time on the river they wouldn't have a job. And as a community we should respect everyone who enjoys the sport, whether they get out once a month or everyday, we're all looking for the same thrill.
