If it wasnt for the bad luck,Id have no luck at all. I went to the Cowlitz on Saturday. Nada happening. I saw many boaters with no fish. Talked with lots of Bankies and no fish. I guess they opened the dam . The water Fri night was at 13,000 feet. then by saturday it was 11,000 feet. The bite was not on. Sand shrimp ,Eggs, Plugs, flatfish. Nothing at all. I go to the best river in the state use up a tank of gas and not even a bite. Hmmmm

Thanks Freak but thats not what I wanted to hear. LOL... Im planning to go again this week or weekend. No wonder why the fishing pressure was limited. I couldnt get away the past weeks due to a thing we call work. Not one of my favorite hobbies. Maybe go for the Wind or Drano . I'll haul the boat for Drano.

Yea although both of those are shitshows for crowds its definetely gonna give you a better chance at a fish. I hear cowlitz steel is pretty much dead but my buddy phil hes a guide texts me reports and drano had been solid this last week numbers at bonneville arent amazing yet but fish are coming steady and numbers are rising every day should be good!

Unfortunately I am a weekend warrior only for fishing time. Its just heck finding a day during the week to go. I get used to battling the crowds. I usually can find a nice spot with a lil solitude. I might take the 8' Livingston or pontoon. Catching a springer on a pontoon seems like fun. Especially if its decent size. Thanks again Freak. I appreciate it. Tell Phil Racfish says hi. He knows me from a few years ago.
