I was reading an article on the springers down in the colombia river last night and someone had commented that WDFW is closing the Samish to chinook (Kings) this year. Now I dont know if thats true or not but if it is then im screwed...

From what I have read they are proposing shutting down the hatchery. So in the next couple years we may see the end of this fishery. Contact your representativeto tell them how you feel about it
