Try looking up past fishing reports or google some river maps under images if naming rivers are to general.
Google, fishing reports, and youtube will be your best friends like I said previously.
It's true, steelhead are the fish of a bajillion casts if you're casting into water where there are no steelhead, which is what most folks do. But when you find them, and you get your gear in front of them, then it's like fishing blue gill.
