I'm convinced that Tag is an intelligent trout that knows how to use a computer and put all that info out to keep bass anglers going for bass instead of shifting over to trout. Great post

Sparky: I've been fishing 40 to 45 feet deep. Haven't found any suspending fish.

BB: LW is a big lake man. I'm not surprised if we haven't bumped into each other.

Tag definitely puts a new perspective on things. Sounds like there's hope left in the bass season. One thing for sure, I believe the smallies eat in a smaller window time period as the water gets colder. This time of year I like heading out later in the day, a little warmer.

I need to invest in some new electronics, maybe I can put in on my x-mas list.

Yeah I'm running with a Humminbird 300TX,..not the best but I'm not gonna upgrade just yet,..hoping the "newer" Bass Boat I purchase will already be set up with some "nicer/newer" electronics,..definately a must though!

Thank you for the positive feedback, guys. I'm glad to hear you found a few of these tips helpful. I have been getting a lot of questions lately regarding fall smallmouth so I wanted to post some basic strategies for targeting them this time of year.

DEZZY DEZ, I met you at Lake Whatcom and Lake Washington this year when I fished with the Hawg Hunter crew. I should have worn a name tag. KVD of Washington? I appreciate the kind words but there are dozens of much better anglers in this State that spend 5 times the amount of time on the water than I do. Maybe one day I will have the time to travel and compete against the best in our State. Until then I will just talk about fishing on the forum and get out on the water a few times a month. Boo hoo!

The only reason I catch big fish on 95% of my trips is because I always go to the body of water I feel is best for big fish based on the current conditions. Fishermen that fish a lot of tournaments don't always have that same luxury.

Good luck to all you die hard bassers fishing this fall and winter!

Good luck out there and have a great time on the water. Looking forward in hearing your report when you and BF get back.

'course they don't have biscuits and gravy ... but if they did, I bet everyone would eat there.

Thanks guys,..it was really tough 2 not switch up and start throwin plastics and jigs especially when BF is hauling them in like he was,..Lake Wa has the potential 2 produce Bigg Bass and I really want 2 find them,..they are there it just takes some hard work and the right attitude,..I guess when your partner is landing them it makes it a bit hard 2 focus,..but I did what I had 2 do and surveyed the areas I chose,..but all in all it was a very productive day on WaWa,..LOL,..even though I didn't land any Bass,..LOL!
