We have partially implimented a new featue called "Hotspots". With hotspots you will have the ability to enter up to three markers on a lake map and add comments to the markers. Hotspots are found on the lake report form.

This is Phase One of the hotspot implimentation. At this point you can only use the new feature to enter data with your fishing report. Phase Two wll occur when the site upgrade comes online in about a month. At that point you'll be able to see all the hotspots that have been entered for any lake that has them.

We are hoping the anglers that submit fishing reports will begin to use the hotspots feature so in a month when the new site comes up many maps will already have hotspots entered into them.

Aaron and I thank you for your patience as we work to impliment this very cool new feature!

This is a great feature! With everyone's input, in a month of reports, the new site upgrade would start out great with a ton of HotSpots. Be sure to check this feature out and use it. This will become a valuable tool for future use.

The "hot spots" section is sweet. I'm using it everytime I submit now. It's one of those things where we can really help each other out...the specifics it allows are amazing...very easy to use as well... Once again, quality work Aaron/Mike/Marc.

I was wondering what the deal was with them...People kept saying in their reports "location: check the hotspot map" and there was no way to see it. Kinda confusing at first.
But all is good, and it's definitely another good addition to the site Mike/Aaron! Thumbs up

I should probably update the description for the HotSpot tab to make it clear that the HotSpots won't be visible till we get to the new site.

Unfortunately I see a LOT of reports where people are describing, verbally, exactly where they fished, but are not taking the time to click on the map. Too bad really. It only takes a second. I can understand not doing it when you want to keep it to yourself, but not when you completely describe the location int he report.

It will take awhile to reap the benefits of this new addition. This time next year Premium Members will really get a kick out of it when they plan their 2009 opening day trip.

I dont think anyone can view the hotspots yet, but you can submit hotspots when you submit a lake report, so probably when your filling all the info out in the report, the hotspot is just another tab. Im not sure, I havent posted a report in a while, but that's my best guess.

I have used them for my last two reports. It only takes a second and to be honest I record them more for me than anyone else. Some lakes I don't get to very often and I think when the new upgrade comes It will be alot easier to look them up before I hit the water.Plus they may be helpful to others.
