The XXX is an old drive in Burger Joint - not what you were thinking... this is a family site after all There used to be a XXX in Spokane many, many years ago. If I remember right, it was out on East Sprague. Lotech Joe can confirm. Probably, it used to be a local chain - made thier own root beer & competed with A&W. Every one was a drive in with a huge Barrell on top of the building. You could always tell which ones used to be XXXs by the barrell. The one in Issaquah is the last. A few years ago the owner was being put out of business because of the property taxes. So he got the place registered as an historacle site. They do car and bike show & shines during the summer. The place is crammed with 50's memorabilia and old car parts people have donated. Used to take my 67 Mustang FB down there and my wife & I stop by now and then on the Harley. If you ever get over this way and are into that kind of stuff, definately a place to check out. http://www.triplexrootbeer.com/OH! and YES! I plan on hitting a few new-to-me lakes this weekend and will have my garbage bags at the ready! I fish not because I regard fishing as being terribly important, but because I suspect that so many of the other concerns of men are equally unimportant, and not nearly so much fun. ~ John Volker

When youre up to your rear end in alligators, its hard to remember that the initial plan was to drain the swamp.
