Septembver 10 was a good time to be out around the Washougal Reef. Walleye tend to do best from August to the End of October on the lower Columbia.
1. Be aware of the tide in the area you want to target. Go when the tide is about to turn out. It is a45 minute Golden Hour.
2. Areas around Kalama where the ambush tactics of Walleye can work are good start spots.
3. Worm harnesses with High contrast spinner baits and smiles blades with either a Lindy rig or bottom bouncer are the rig choices preferred by those having success.
4. Washougal Reef is prime
5. At the tips of Lady Island, as long as the PWC and Skiers aren't around.
6. Remember this ain't Salmon fishing, it is slow, find the fish first, and then get maybe 45 minutes of hot action "Fishing" and it is usually (but not always) a next to the bottom fish approach.
That said get in touch with the Lower Columbia Walleye Club that would be
