Just seeing if anyone has gone to American Lake lately for bass? I plan on going there either tomorrow morning or sunday morning. I primarily want to go after LMB but may go after some smallmouth if I am not having too much luck with the LMB. Most of the reports I have seen lately have been for trout fishing. I will be throwing swimbaits but may throw some cranks later on in the day to go for the smallies but we will see how it goes. I plan on renting a boat at the lil marina near the rv park on North Fort and fishing aroudn from there. So if anyone has any spots they'd like to disclose or advice it would be appreciated. I have only fished this lake twice and both times it was for trout

Thanks

I have a few swimbaits that can be finessed off the bottom so I wanted to give them a try after reading a few chapters in the bbz book. If I catch some that'd be great but I mostly want to go out and get some practice in with the swimmies and different cadences with them.

I'm heading out there tomorrow myself but me and LMB well we just dont get along to welld'oh! I'm hittin the smallies all day i doubt i will make it back into little american, probably will fish a few shelfs i found and humps...You can PM me if ya want i will be willing to tell ya a few areas out there...not sure the staging of LMB right now but between what you know and what i know of the bottom structure maybe that will help you...Fishinislife told me you a good dude so you must be alright in my book..

The solution to any problem-whatever it is-is to go fishing, and the bigger the problem, the longer the trip!!!
